CHURCH, but not as you know it!!

What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is held at St. Andrew Blackadder once a month on a Sunday afternoon from 4-6pm. It’s a form of church for children and adults and an opportunity to have fun together through creativity, activity, and celebration.

It’s relaxed, family fun and above all – MESSY!!

Messy Church is all-age event, families are encouraged to come together, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Those without children are very welcome too!

What happens at Messy Church?

Messy Church is two hours long. The first hour is spent doing crafts and activities together, based on a Christian theme. This is followed by a Celebration Time in the Church and then we share a meal together in the hall.

There is no cost, but donations are accepted. Free-from meal options are always available.

2024-2025  "Little Me, Big God"

6th April 4-6pm  "Easter Fix".
Our beautiful world is in a mess - but you don't need telling - everywhere you look are broken and hurting people, illness, poverty, war, hunger, violence ........the list is endless.

God looks on all that he has made and longs for it to be different - for earth to mirror heaven.
But God doesn't sit on his hands - he comes right down into His world, our mess, with the most unlikely solution!  Come and find out more about Jesus, and especially the events of Easter.

Come and join us at 4pm for painting, modelling, gluing and creating, before we head up into church for a worship session including songs about God's love for both little and big! We finish our time eating together - with Andersons sausages and mash, and some yummy cake.
See you in April.

Future dates:

April 6th: Easter Fix
May 4th: How Can I Pray
